 Example Scenario

Copan Trade ships your ORDER

• The beans are packed in burlap sacks, stacked on a pallet.
• Vertical straps are applied around the front, back, and sides of the pallet, securing the sacks in place.
• A tension tool is used to tighten the straps, 4, and a sealer secures them.
• The pallet is inspected to ensure stability before loading onto the delivery truck.

 Coffee Roaster receives a pallet delivery of green coffee beans:

• A truck arrives at the roaster's location, and the pallet is unloaded using a forklift.
• The roaster inspects the sacks for any damage and signs the delivery paperwork to confirm receipt. Probability of damage cargo is LOW

If the Green Coffee Pallet is damaged in transit (things happen), please let's proceed with the following steps:  

• Write a Note Damage on Delivery Receipt (BOL)   
• Take a picture of the pallet in the truck
• Recondition as best of your ability the yute bag (s) damage
• Document with pictures
• Send a Claim e-mail to shipping@copantrade.com with the subject line ORDER # Including
  • Picture BOL + Damage bag (s) 
    
  • Number of how many pounds were lost
